In life, we discover the challenges of overcoming fears that we are often faced with such as the unknown, failure, or danger. Life is filled with circumstances that can bring about fear: sickness, unemployment, rejection, or even other people’s opinions.
Left unchecked, fear will steal your inner peace, happiness, joy, hope, and love. Do not allow fear to steal your progress in life. Have courage and strength especially in the face of pain or grief.
Whenever you are faced with a seemingly insurmountable challenge, you need to have courage and true grit to dig in and move forward. Courage isn’t limited to the wealthy or the poor on the battlefield of life. Courage has no color and isn’t given to a particular gender. Rather, courage in the face of fear’s real tests is broader, deeper, and quieter. It is like remaining faithful when no one is watching.
It can be as simple as saying “fear, you are not going to steal my happiness nor my joy today.” It can be as uneventful as facing a barrage of e-mails, or as unsung as the inner struggle between good and bad. Your badge of courage is usually earned in secret which is where most courageous acts occur, away from public acclaim. When fear nips at your heels, keep on and think brave thoughts. Your thoughts are more powerful than you realize.
Courage and strength are within all of us. Courage motivates our will and strength accompanies our efforts. The more you rely on these inner skills, the more they will develop, helping you to understand and fight your fears.
Fear disguises itself behind many different faces. We want to do things our way, or we say we are not interested or it’s the wrong time. What we are coming up against is not a closed door, it is “repressed fear.”
If you are wondering why you are not progressing in certain areas in your life, see if hidden fear is holding you back. And if it is, work on releasing your fears and trusting your own inner strength.
Never give up! Never give up! Never give up!
