This week’s Pup Close & Purrsonal comes to us from Brian Wegrzyn. Brian is the Director of Facilities for LHP Management.
Meet Chloe. She’s a “foxy lopsy”… a mix of Toy Fox Terrier and Lhasa Apso. Brian and his wife rescued her when they were living in Gunnison, Colorado. They met her a street fair, sitting in a dirty box. Her original owner explained that Chloe (then called Mary Jane) was one of two puppies that survived a house fire in which the mother and other puppies didn’t make it.
Chloe is terrified of a beeping smoke detector, to this day.
One night when Brian was at home alone not feeling well and laying on the couch, Chloe suddenly started jumping all over him. She’d never done this before and he didn’t know what to think. Fast forward thirty minutes, and Brian found himself at the emergency room complaining of tightness in his chest. While there, he suffered a major heart attack.
Brian firmly believes Chloe saved his life that night. This also cemented his belief that she can always have anything she wants!
Speaking of beloved four-footed friends, The Scruff reminds everyone: please spay or neuter your pets.
With gratitude & coffee,
