This week’s Pup Close & Purrsonal comes to us from Kelly Brennan. Kelly is an Asset Management Coordinator for LHP.
Lexi is a 3 year old Collie. She is an inside dog, but enjoys being outside with Kelly’s husband, Pat. She loves playing ball and even brings one to bed with her.
Lexi was an only child until Kelly & Pat rescued their Sheltie, Danny Boy. He was a truck driver’s companion until his owner passed away in his truck at a rest stop. Danny Boy stayed with him for two days until they found him. He is four years old now. Danny loves to be with Kelly’s daughter, Jade. He loves to bark and play tug of war with Lexi. No need to knock at the house with Danny Boy around, he lets everyone know when guests arrive!
Recently, Kelly & Pat began fostering another rescue with hopes of adopting her. Her name is Piper. She is a 2 yr. old miniature Sheltie. She had a compound fracture on her leg and they nurtured her back to health. At the time, she was very fragile and only weighed 4 pounds. Kelly said when she jumped around with her broken leg, she looked like a kangaroo!
They got her on Danny Boy’s two year anniversary “Gotcha Day”! She is such a sweet little girl and Kelly is hoping to make her “her” dog.
Kelly reports that all the pups get along great!
Speaking of beloved four-footed friends, The Scruff reminds everyone: please spay or neuter your pets.
With gratitude & coffee,
