Traveling across this vast earth, visiting with some of the most amazing LHP employees, I have the awesome pleasure of viewing God’s great creation. File this away in your memory. It is said that “When you love people, work hard, study, develop and share your expertise in a given area, people will learn to respect and listen to you. And when it comes to listening, you don’t get what you demand, you get what you earn.”

Dada J. P. Vaswani, an animal rights advocate and non-sectarian spiritual leader, said, “All around us are the miracles of God. A tiny seed grows into a peepul tree. A caterpillar becomes a butterfly!” There is no truer statement about the omnipresence of God. When we look upon the majestic workings of God in nature, we discover a remarkable awareness of his supreme power. Looking out into space gazing upon the stars in the darkness of the night, we again witness the supreme power of God’s workmanship.

As I think about the awesomeness of God’s creative power, I am reminded about the time my nine-year-old granddaughter called me excitedly to tell me about what she had just learned in her 4th grade class. With her eagerness to share this new knowledge, she said, “Granddaddy, did you know that the earth spins on its axis 1000 miles per hour as it rotates around the sun each day and that all of the people on the surface of the earth are spinning and rotating with the earth and that earth’s rotation is what makes the season change?” “No, I did not know this,” I replied even though I did and then I asked her who she thought caused the earth to spin so fast to make the seasons change.  “God,” she said. We cannot feel the earth spinning beneath us but we do see the beauty in the changing seasons.

Finally, there is a myth about the first of February that I always find humorous. It is the notion that a groundhog emerging from its burrow on this day who sees its shadow due to clear weather will retreat to its den and winter will persist for six more weeks. If it does not see its shadow because of cloudiness, spring will arrive early. What makes this myth so outrageous is the notion that God gave the groundhog the ability to cause weather patterns. Studies have found no consistent correlation between a groundhog seeing its shadow or not and the arrival of spring weather.

So as the world turns and make one complete rotation in 24 hours moving at close to 1000 miles per hour, know that this is supreme power working on behalf of humanity. So Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
