I used to watch the TV show “Undercover Boss.” In the show, company bosses would disguise themselves as regular employees and work alongside actual employees. They performed tasks and experienced the same things that the employees did while doing the same job. They also made some eye-opening discoveries about the job that otherwise would not have been known had they not used the same tools or the same method to accomplish the work.
Many times these discoveries led to changes that made the company more efficient, more profitable or a more enjoyable place to work. The point is this, often times you need to go through the fire to understand and appreciate what a person might be going through. You have to walk where they walk!
American singer-songwriter Judith Hill said, “I think you need to go through some stuff to really appreciate life and understand what it means to persevere, overcome and have faith. I think those tough times make you a stronger person.”
Going through some stuff in life, you will learn that if you keep holding on and keep the faith whatever circumstances you are facing will soon pass. Because when you have gone through the fires of life, you too will know that tough times come and they go. The remarkable thing about having faith in God is knowing that He is there for you. This knowledge provides power to enable you to push through the hard times while maintaining your ultimate desires.
In life, you can expect to experience family conflict, rejection in a relationship, a friend’s betrayal, loneliness, and many other tough times. The bosses who went undercover walked the path of employees to gain knowledge about what they were going through in order to accomplish the tasks before them. Likewise, God knows what you are going through which is why you can turn to Him when you are in trouble and get the help you need.
God will permit you to go through stuff you do not enjoy or understand to equip you and make you effective in helping others. If you are going through the fire today, it is because God has something He plans to do through you and for you. When you have tough times know that you can’t be perfect in every situation and you always have a choice! So Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
