All of us have heard these encouraging words before. Stand strong during the storms of life. These words are the bedrock for encouraging us to be tough when we are facing hardships. Our struggles will shake our resolve to press onward. However, standing strong reminds us that we should not give up amidst troubling times.

A palm tree has a strong resistance to storm damage like no other tree. Its slender trunk is flexible which is one reason a palm can withstand hurricane-force winds. God designed the palm tree so that it would bend, and resist being uprooted by strong winds.

All of humanity was created by God and we were created with the mindset to stand strong in the storms of life. You see, strength does not come from winning; and, you will never know how strong you really are until being strong is the only choice you have in life.  The actor Arnold Schwarzenegger said, “strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.”

Our strength is being tested during these uncertain times. People across the globe are experiencing hardships that are causing them to do irrational things that during normal times they would never consider engaging in. There are going to be times in life when you feel like throwing in the towel and giving up. Dig deep and push through remember the motivating and inspirational messages on staying strong.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr said, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” Where do you stand in these uncertain times? Japanese author and scientist Masaru Emoto presented us with some encouraging words for times like these when he said, “if you feel lost, disappointed, hesitant, or weak, return to yourself, to who you are, here and now and when you get there, you will discover yourself, like a lotus flower in full bloom, even in a muddy pond, beautiful and strong.”

So, as you navigate through these hopeful days ahead, stand strong like the palm tree so when the vicious and violent winds of time blow against your very being, you will stand strong and Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
