The summer flew by and now it’s time for the kids to go back to school. Several LHP properties celebrated the occasion with a Back to School Bash.
Lincoln Manor in Morristown, TN held a cookout for their residents that included hot dogs, chips, and backpacks full of school supplies for the kids. Chaplain Walter Ghosten also helped out at the event by serving food, giving out supplies, and lending a listening ear. Around 40 households attended this successful event!
Southside Manor in South Fulton, TN held their party on August 1st, with more residents attending than there were chairs! At least 42 kids came out to receive free school supplies, pizza, and jam to a great Disney movie soundtrack.
Lee Manor in Athens, TN was able to provide around $300 in school supplies, including a school year calendar for the city and county schools in the area, to 30 of their school-aged children. The kids had a great time eating popsicles and having a tea party while the staff visited with their parents. Everyone was in great spirits and had a wonderful time.
What great ways to get this new school year started!
Remember to send in photos of your property’s events and they may find their way onto The Scruff.
Looking forward,
