The Great American Eclipse occurred on August 21, 2017. The eclipse was called a “total solar eclipse” meaning when the moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, the Sun is totally or partially obscured by the Moon for a viewer on Earth. The day turns to darkness and crickets will start chirping. Totality occurs in a narrow path across the Earth’s surface, so not everyone is able to see it. Jessica and Larissa at LHP’s Corporate office mailed out a fun package to all employees in honor of the eclipse – approved eclipse viewing glasses, a Moonpie, and a bag of Sunchips. Check out how much fun our folks had watching this spectacular event on Monday by clicking here!
