The kids at Park Place Apartments in Little Rock, Arkansas had a blast at their Back-to-School Bash  Aug. 11 and it is likely one they’ll never forget. The bash kicked off with a cookout, where kids could chow down on hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and cold drinks. There were also games for everyone, including cornhole, horseshoes, yard pong, and a new twist on a classic game–bobbing for ice–a cool game for a steamy hot day!

But the best part of the bash was the gifts that each child received. Thanks to the generosity of McGrew Properties, McGrew Electric, and the Knights of Columbus and the hard work of a resident, Michelle Hendrix, every kid got a brand new pair of Under Armour shoes and a backpack filled with back-to-school supplies.

“The smiles on the kids’ faces and the pure excitement that they got to experience knowing that this party was just for them is truly rewarding,” says Staci McGrew, Park Place Community Manager. “It’s that one thank you out of 100 that makes me wake up every morning excited that I get to spend another day doing what I love. This is not a job to me, this is my passion, my life.”

What a huge success! Thanks to Staci McGrew and her team, the children at Park Place have a great start to the new school year.
