Another fantastic Halloween has come & gone. Here at LHP, we made sure to enjoy every last minute of it!
The party started at Ridgebrook on Thursday, October 27 with a Halloween-themed Good Times event, that included helping kids make their own super hero themed costumes.
Lilly Ray (Hickory Forest’s resident elf on the shelf…more on her in a different post!) helped hand out candy to all the kids that came by the office on Halloween.
Imperial Garden got a treat when Area Manager Laura Battin’s mother helped make goodie bags for the kids. She even “flew in” in her witch’s costume to pass out candy.
Brenda Hensley at Miller Village got treat bags for all of the children that came to their Halloween party. She filled them with toys from the Dollar Tree and all the kids loved them! Around 50 residents came out to enjoy pizza, popcorn, cookies, and cupcakes.
About 40 residents at Beersheba Heights Tower enjoyed a festive party of hot dogs, chips and dip, homemade cookies, cupcakes and Halloween candy.
At Urban Park Towers, a property in New York’s 1 Community, about 20 residents enjoyed cake and cider for their Halloween gathering. Check out those great costumes!
Park Place Apartments set a record for best attendance at one of their parties – over 100 people came! 35 residents banded together and donated over 50 bags of candy. All in all, 150 large candy bags were made and given out…even a homeless man that’s well known in the area, came to the party and got a bag. Despite not having an official costume contest, many of the residents chose to dress up on their own. Don’t they look great?!
Last but not least, the final photo shows 3 carved pumpkins. They were completed by the resident shown in the photo. What an amazing talent!
Thanks so much to everyone who submitted photos of your spooky fun parties and get-togethers over the past few days. Your contributions are what help make The Scruff so great, so keep sending things in.
