We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.
November 29 is Giving Tuesday, a day to do good stuff for charity and the community. Volunteering is one of the ways you can give back and LHP encourages employees to contribute to the communities in which they live and work year round.
With our Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program, employees can volunteer up to eight hours a year while on the clock. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in the VTO. To participate, employees need to complete the VTO form found here or on the ADP Portal home page. Additional information about the program is in the Employee Handbook.
A great opportunity for volunteering in the East Tennessee area can be found with the Good Times program. These community block party-style events are held locally many times per month, at both LHP and non-LHP affiliated properties. The events last around three hours including set up, take down, and party time.
If you work at a property in East Tennessee and have an interest in volunteering with the Good Times program, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. I will be sure to include you in the next volunteer round-up! You can also look for other volunteer opportunities at www.volunteeretn.org. Websites advertising local volunteer opportunities, such as www.volunteermatch.org, are good sources to find a volunteer match. Your local library or United Way agency may be able to assist as well.
