The hustle and bustle of this wonderful season is keeping all of us at LHP very busy. Here’s what we’ve been up to lately…

After November’s fire at Stonewall II Apartments in Knoxville, 14 families (about 24 residents), were left with very little if anything, in their homes. Our company banded together and raised over $6,500 to purchase new household items for those displaced folks.

Recently, “elves” from LHP were able to personally hand out the packaged items for many of the effected residents. A wonderful story was featured in our local paper, the Knoxville News-Sentinel, as well.

LHP Management Senior Analyst Stephanie Haynes opens up a gift bag to show residents some of the household items each family received. The gifts included a crock pot, toaster, fleece blanket and 5-piece baking set.

Santa’s little helpers at the party include Stonewall’s assistant manager Christy Nutter and manager Kelly Duncan.

Chaplain Ghosten is back on his world tour. Lately, he’s spent time in Tullahoma, TN at Ada Ferrell and East Gate as well as McMinnville, TN at Beersheba Heights Tower. He even helped celebrate Regional Manager Elisa Merritt’s birthday!

On the way home, he visited Indian Ridge in Shelbyville, KY and Madison Towers in Richmond, KY.

On a more serious note Urban Park Towers which is part of New York’s 1 Community, held a memorial service for their residents who passed away this year. It was attended by about 30 people. Even though this time of year is joyful for many, we can’t forget that it is also very difficult for others.

Last but not least, around 25 residents from Indian Ridge enjoyed Christmas Movie Night last Friday, by decorating cookies, snacking on popcorn, and watching An Elf’s Story based on the popular book Elf on The Shelf. Invite me next time!
