Balancing budgets gave way to scooping snowballs last Friday when employees from LHP’s corporate offices came together for a Christmas luncheon at Ancient Lore Village. Per the invitation, more than half came dressed in outrageous holiday sweaters—think garish colors, sequined Santas and naughty gnomes—creating instant ice breakers and lots of good laughs.

Fueled by a delicious lunch and a decadent chocolate lava dessert, everyone was ready for “rein deer games.” First up, a holiday trivia contest which had teams erupting in laughter as each table strategized their way through tough questions like name the magician in Frosty the Snowman or the city where the Grinch lives. Next, in a hilarious twist on the traditional snowball fight, table captains competed in an energetic game of “how many snowballs can you scoop.” The contestants were blindfolded and allowed only to use a spoon to scoop as many fabric snowballs into a bowl as possible in a minute. Watch the video. It was loads of fun.

And no LHP employee celebration is complete without a chance to win cash. Everyone participated in the raffle which at the end of the day showered nearly a dozen lucky employees with $75 and $100 cash prizes. Whether you walked away with a wad of cash or just a belly full of food and laughter, everyone left with holiday cheer.  The Scruff sends a shout out of thanks to Admin Assistant Larissa Mohn and Office Manager Meredith James who coordinated the luncheon and all the games.
