This week’s Pup Close & Purrsonal comes to us from Kayla Ramos. Kayla is Community Director at Hickory Hollow in Antioch, TN.

Meet Gypsy! A female Orange Tabby that was born April 7th of this year. She loves to cuddle and dart around the house. She is also entertained by chasing her own tail. She won’t play with her cat toys, but LOVES playing with Kayla’s tweezers and ponytail holders.

When its bedtime, Gypsy can be found sleeping on Kayla’s pillow – on top of her head – or in between Kayla and her husband. She is starting to warm up to her brother Shark and likes to run up to him, touch his tail, and run away!

This is Shark. He’s a 4-5 year old Bernese mountain dog mix. His exact breed is unknown, but Kayla thinks he might also have Corgi in him, due to his shorter legs and stature. Shark came into the Ramos family in July, from a foster home that he lived in for 2 years. He loves walks and being outside. He is very well behaved. Kayla describes Shark as having “the heart of a hippie – very calm and chill.” He is oblivious to Gypsy and has adjusted to his new home well. At nighttime, he prefers to sleep on the floor at the foot of their bed and will stay there all night.

Speaking of beloved four-footed friends, The Scruff reminds everyone: please spay or neuter your pets.

With gratitude & coffee,
