To understand your purpose in life, you must have knowledge of your passions. Your passions are the things that motivate you and drive you toward your goals. Having a purpose in life means having a central motivation that gives your life direction and meaning.

Your passion is that area of your life that gets you energized in the morning. What are you eager to do? Think about the causes that matter deeply to you. It might be world hunger, neglected veterans, or education. It might be wanting to help the people who stand on the side of the road holding signs asking for food, money and shelter. Your passion may be centered around helping those in need.

There are times when our passions emerge from our experiences, opportunities, skills, and even pain and suffering. You might find purpose in helping people who struggle with addiction, have spent time in prison or have emotional disorders. There are countless ways to find purpose and make a positive impact on the lives of people who are less fortunate.

Finding and fulfilling your life’s purpose also requires support from others. Jimmy Carter, after serving as the 39th President of the United States, found purpose in his life through his humanitarian work, including volunteering with Habitat for Humanity building homes for the less fortunate.

Knowledge of your purpose in life can help you make important life decisions, influence your behavior, and shape your goals. It can motivate you, especially when you face setbacks and disappointments. One way to find your purpose is to ask yourself introspective questions: What am I currently doing with my life? What truly matters most to me? What am I deeply passionate about and why?

The Bible teaches that God has a plan for each of our lives, and that we were created for a purpose. Loving others and attending to their needs can be your greatest way to fulfill this divine purpose.

The New Year is the perfect time to think about what brings you a sense of fulfillment and your purpose in life. Rediscover what it is that drives you toward a place of happiness and joy each day. So be blessed and remember to Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
