As we navigate through life, we must follow the right path given to us for success. The songwriter in the Biblical book of Psalm reminds us that God has a path that we should follow: “Your word is a lamp to my feet.” These words mean we are supposed to walk according to God’s will and his plan for us, not our own thoughts, wishes, or impulses.

If you walk in the path God has for you, you will never go wrong. The prophet Jeremiah likewise proclaimed that God has a plan for us: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and future.”

Jeremiah’s words remind us to put our complete trust in God, because his ways and plans are always better than our own. As the book of Proverbs advises, “Trust in the Lord with all our heart, and do not lean on our own understanding. In all our ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight our paths.”

While we may have our own plans, the right path is the one that aligns with God’s will and leads us to fulfill his purpose for us. As we walk in God’s wisdom, we can see with greater clarity. We can act with greater discernment, and we are able to make better choices in our lives.

Following the path that God has for you allows you to make good choices, considering your values, goals, and emotions and then weighing the pros and cons of each option. It also allows you to create a constructive environment, explore alternatives, and follow through with your decisions.

All of us will have many decisions to make as we go through life. Remember that God has promised to guide us on the right path. He knows which opportunities best align with our individual talents. For example, a career might seem promising for success, but it may not be the one God intends for you.

God’s path will guide you to the career that is best for your present and future success. God knows the things we need in life for success. He knows all the details, but how do we find these details and follow the path God desires for us? By using the means for making decisions that God has shown us in his word. When we do, then we can be sure that whatever unfolds is God’s particular plan for our lives. So, be blessed and Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
