God has created in us the capacity to keep learning until the day we die, which is something we should not take for granted. The average brain weighs approximately three pounds, yet neurologists approximate that we have the ability to learn something new every second of every minute of every hour of every day for the next three hundred million years.

So, what could we learn in this new year? We could start by developing and contributing to our self-worth that God provides. Humanity depends on each of us to contribute to society by helping others. According to neurologists, we can use our brain power to make an impact through science, health and in ventures.

However, it is more than these attributes that we can use our brain power to make a difference in our world in this new year. This is our awesome obligation because God has equipped us with the brain power. Learning in this new year is not indulgence. It is stewardship. God impowered us when he said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.” It is impossible to determine the percentage of our minds that we use, but all of us have untapped potential.

In this new year, let us tap into our potential. Our imagination is capable of considerably more than we can dream. Don’t stop living out your God given imagination but start applying your knowledge to make this world a better place for generations to come.

Remember the words of God. Loving God with all your mind requires maximizing your mind by learning as much as possible about as much as possible. The true litmus test of spiritual maturity is not the quantity you know but rather; it is knowing the quantity you do not know.

Finally, as we apply ourselves in this new year, remember Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
