In this New Year, you will be met with challenges. There will be crossroads in your life that will require you to make serious choices calling upon the wisdom of your mind and heart to resolve. There is an amazing story recorded in the Bible about Peter out on a lake in a boat during a storm. When called, the scripture says, “Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward the Lord.” Peter had faith and was not afraid. To think about what you would do, ask yourself these questions about your life:

  • What is my crossroad to travel when God calls? Is it whatever gives you your greatest sense of security? Is it what you are tempted to put your trust in when life gets stormy? To discover your real mission in life, ask yourself, what is it that produces the most fear in you, especially when you think of leaving it behind and stepping out in faith.
  • What is it that might keep you from choosing the right road to take? Is your fear that of the unknown? Is it fear of people, fear of failure, fear of criticism, or fear of lack of confidence? All these are legitimate fears that some people have. In order to grow, you must go into new territory, and each time you do, you will experience fear. It never goes away. But each time you go on a new uncharted road, you will grow in knowledge. And each time you travel a new road, you become a little more able to do it the next time, and you begin to realize that fear does not have the power to destroy you. So, when God says to you come, start walking in his direction. He will not let you down.
  • What will you forfeit by staying on the current road? Perhaps your true destiny. To achieve what you have not yet achieved, you must attempt what you have not yet attempted. Will there be risks? Yes! There are those who have failed at their pursuit of greatness many times. However, they knew that if they did not keep trying, they would never experience the joy of achieving their dreams. Understand this, if you stay on a failing course in life, at the end of your journey, you will end up wondering what your life might have been if only you had been willing to travel the road that was less travelled.

Stand and do not give up in your pursuit of the best road to travel in your life. God will provide support and guidance on the right road in your life. So Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
