Whenever you take the initiative to pursue your goals, you should expect a positive outcome. But taking the initiative and stepping out on faith requires preparation. Throughout life we experience twists and turns as we strive to reach our objectives, and we need to be prepared to face these obstacles.

Biblical history teaches us that God values godly initiative, embraced by both men and women. For example, the Lord affirmed women who took initiative to be leaders in their communities, and men like David actively cooperated with women’s initiatives.

Initiative is a spiritual quality that involves taking the lead and responding to challenges with confidence. Taking the initiative demands that we do everything in a fitting and proper manner, ensuring that our endeavors are organized, well-planned, respectful, well-mannered, and polite. The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Ephesians, provided valuable insights on the spiritual aspects of initiative. He emphasized the importance of “being kind to one another, tender hearted, and compassionate to one another.”

In the Bible, we read that King David’s initiative was a key spiritual quality that allowed him to become the leader of his nation. Leaders are proactive; they don’t always wait for things to come to them. They actively pursue their goals, much like King David did.

Initiative is best described as “leading with action.” It means taking the lead on what needs to be done. Ambition often stems from an inner motivation to prove ourselves, to gain acceptance or approval, to avoid rejection, and to maintain control. However, godly initiative arises from a deeper source: our faith and our desire to fulfil our godly revelation.

Addressing the nation, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. emphasized that “doing the right thing is often difficult but necessary, and that it’s time to take action.” He championed transformative initiatives such as ending the Vietnam War and the Poor People’s Campaign, as these initiatives were vitally important to him.

So, take the initiative to pursue your ambitions in life. Do it with passion and you will reap the rewards of leadership. Be blessed and Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
