Often, we need to hit the pause button in life and evaluate our situation. Stopping to reflect is one of the most important activities you can do for personal growth. Reflection is more valuable than motivation or encouragement because it lets you ensure you are going down the right path.
The worst thing that can happen is to discover that you are on the wrong path to success. You must pause, reflect, and change your course. While sharp intellect and good memory help you retain lots of knowledge, you need to take the time to analyze to understand what you are seeing and hearing.
Stopping to reflect on life allows us to sort through our experiences, put them into perspective, and glean from them the wisdom for a better future. Success stems from the ability to apply knowledge and experience to make sound judgments and decisions.
Through reflection, we can view things from a broader viewpoint, consider multiple factors and see how different parts of our life connect. Reflective thinking is considered a key component of wisdom itself. In the Bible, the Apostle Paul writes that wisdom is a gift from God. It is the capacity of the mind that allows people to understand life from God’s perspective.
Stopping and reflecting on your life prevents you from being shaped by the world’s forces, which often oppose God’s ways. The Apostle Paul said to the Romans: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Life should be more than chasing things for pleasure, possessions, and status. Stop living like everyone else. Instead, of conforming, be transformed from the inside out. Specifically, as Paul writes, we must change how we think, and have our minds renewed so that we can begin to understand God’s will for our lives.
The practice of reflection allows us to critically examine our current activities and processes, and to plan for the future. It helps us identify what’s working and what needs to change, equipping us to navigate both good times and bad. So, Be blessed, And Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
