One should never give up hope waiting on the good things of life, especially unfulfilled desires such as marriage, an adventure, college, your first child or whatever is on your bucket list. Patience and a trusting attitude will help you wait for the right opportunity to come along.

Waiting on something to become reality doesn’t mean sitting around doing nothing. Instead, you should be preparing yourself by doing the necessary things to make your dreams come true.

By nature, we are impatient.  We can become irritable when the wait time for something, such as service at a fastfood restaurant or an appointment to see the doctor, takes longer than expected.

Joyce Meyer, a great inspirational preacher, said, “I believe that a trusting attitude and a patient attitude go hand in hand. When you let go and learn to trust God, it releases joy in your life. And when you trust God, you’re able to be more patient.”

Patience enables a person to wait comfortably until their desires or needs are realized. I recall a time when my patience was tried and found wanting. I was 12 and had been invited to go fishing. This was a first for me and I was very excited. However, after hours of tossing my line into the water with no luck at all, I grew angry waiting on the fish to bite. Fishing requires patience and I had none then.

Patience is not just about waiting on something. It’s about your attitude while waiting. Joyce Meyer expressed this well: “Trusting and a patient attitude is what you need while waiting on God to point you in a more favorable direction than the direction you are going or decision than the one that you find yourself making.”

American pastor Robert H. Schuller said, “Never make a negative decision in the low time and never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait and be patient and the storm will pass and spring will come.” So Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
