You are the only one that can answer this question truthfully: What brings you happiness? What is it that brings excitement and joy when you rise in the morning to venture out into the world? What kind of work environment brings out the best in you? Do you enjoy working with a team or do you prefer to work alone?  If you only flourish in solitude, you may find it difficult to function well in a people-oriented environment.

So, what is it that makes you come to life in the morning? It is probably the things that excite you the most. Think about this for a moment: What are my strengths? God has given each of us abilities to achieve our goals in life. All we need to do is to identify the skills we are given.

In the Bible, God said of Bezalel the artisan, “I have filled him with wisdom. He is a master craftsman, expert in working with gold, silver, and bronze. He is skilled in engraving, mounting gemstones, and carving wood.” What are your God given gifts? What makes your eyes sparkle and your spirit soar? Do you enjoy working with computers, cars, or animals?

Perhaps you are an adept manager, a natural at fixing things, or skilled with finances. The Bible says, “We are God’s masterpiece, created anew in the Lord, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Scripture teaches that God has a purpose for humanity centered on relationships, good works, and reflecting his character. As the Prophet Jeremiah declares, God has plans to give you a future and a hope, not disaster.

Happiness generally comes from cultivating deep social connections, engaging in meaningful work, practicing gratitude, and maintaining physical health. It is a byproduct of living in accordance with one’s values, accepting unchangeable circumstances, and finding joy in daily moments—whether in nature, music, relationships or even a good book.

So, what is it that brings you happiness? Discover your God-given gifts and always remember that God has a purpose for your life. You will experience your highest level of fulfillment when you discover and begin to walk in that purpose. You are not just another brick in the wall or another nail in the carpenter’s toolbox. God personally formed and made you. I challenge you to find the things that bring you the most happiness in life. Remember, life is too short to waste away. Be blessed and Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
