To start off this New Post Wednesday, we’ve got some exciting news:
LHP and Nashville Housing Authority named Tennessee’s Best
LHP Capital of Knoxville and the Nashville Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) have been recognized by state officials for excellence in preserving affordable housing for seniors and individuals with disabilities. LHP and MDHA received a Tennessee’s Best Impact Award for the purchase and continuing renovation of Trevecca Towers, a 564-unit apartment community in Nashville. The award was presented in Nashville on March 7 at the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) annual conference. Each year THDA presents Tennessee’s Best awards to individuals or organizations whose work makes a meaningful impact on the state of affordable housing in Tennessee. The Impact Award recognizes an organization and/or project that has gone above and beyond to address affordable housing challenges in Tennessee and make changes that will positively affect affordable housing for Tennesseans in the years to come.
Meadowbrook residents came out in droves to enjoy the hot chocolate bar set up by the staff. What a fun idea!
Pinnacle Park staff served lunch to their residents on Friday. The residents absolutely loved it! Comments overheard included “how great the staff is” and that “no one has done anything like this for me before.” Something as seemingly simple as a meal can do a great deal of good in changing someone’s outlook, helping them recognize their gratitude, and makes you feel good. Maybe your property could be featured on The Scruff for an event like this? Send photos when you’ve got them to thescruff@lhp.net.
