On Saturday a group of LHP employees and their canine family members walked in Knoxville’s Mardi Growl Parade, paws-down, one of the cutest events of the year. The annual pet parade is a fundraiser for Young-Williams Animal Center, which serves as the animal shelter for Knox County. The parade starts in the Old City, winds through downtown Knoxville and ends up at the World’s Fair Park for a Pet Festival and costume contest.
Service coordinators at LHP’s properties serve an important role, helping to connect residents with community-based resources and necessary service providers. They may work with a resident one-on-one or facilitate a program for a group of residents, such as some of the recent programs pictured here:
