Leaders from LHP’s 50+ properties gathered in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains for a leadership conference April 2-5, which brought together property managers and maintenance supervisors for a valuable opportunity to learn and connect.
The conference featured a variety of educational programs to equip leaders with the latest knowledge and skills to excel in their roles. Attendees benefited from presentations by LHP’s health and wellness benefit providers, a session dedicated to understanding artificial intelligence (AI) and a program on verbal de-escalation strategies. A DiSC assessment workshop helped leaders understand their individual and team work styles as a means of improving communication and collaboration.

Knox County Mayor Glen Jacobs
A highlight of the conference was a luncheon presentation by Knox County Major Glenn Jacobs, also known by his professional wrestling name Kane. The unique opportunity to hear from a local leader with such a fascinating background was a hit, especially for the employees who expressed their enthusiasm as WWE fans.
The conference also celebrated the outstanding achievements within the LHP community with an awards presentation. The Scruff is pleased to feature all of these deserving recipients:
