Congratulations to Laura Canedy, Human Resource Generalist, who has been named an LHP Positive Resident Experience (PRE) leader. Laura consistently goes above and beyond in her role managing payroll and leaves of absence and never fails to deliver, says Lindsay Willis, SVP of Human Resources.

“Whether she’s addressing questions about insurance, PTO, FMLA, or short-term disability, she does so with kindness and understanding,” says Lindsay. “Her efforts create a ripple effect—when our employees are supported, they can better serve our residents, directly contributing to a Positive Resident Experience.”

The secret to Laura’s success is her genuine caring nature. Employees praise her as a lifeline—someone who listens with empathy, offers practical solutions, and treats them with the warmth of a friend.

“I think about how I would want to be treated if I was going through a similar situation,” she explains. “I try to put myself in that person’s place and I really do care. I am concerned about their wellbeing.”

Laura believes an attitude of gratitude contributes to her success. “I wake up every day and say, ‘It’s going to be a good day.’ If you have a thankful spirit within you, it will influence those around you and how they feel, too.”

Providing a positive experience for every resident is our top priority! PRE Leaders receive a $100 gift card and our thanks for being stewards of our company’s excellent customer service.
