Don’t spend your whole life digging up old bones. People who have a fear of failure cannot move forward. I refer to them as “bone diggers.” They fear failure because of past hurts and mistakes. Mistakes can haunt us if we allow them too. So, don’t allow the past failures to impede your progress in life. We all have things in our past we would rather forget. You should put these things behind you and stop digging up old bones.

The Apostle Paul wrote, “Forgetting those things which are behind and reach forward to those things which are ahead.” Don’t worry about what people might say or think when you press toward your goals. God has your back. Stop digging up reasons why you shouldn’t move forward with your life. In other words, stop being a bone digger.

How you respond to criticism is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. There will always be people who won’t like or understand you. Too often, we listen to the wrong voices whispering in our ears. Satan is the father of lies, and he will do everything in his power to discourage you. Whenever a thought enters your mind, examine it: if it is from God, receive it; if it is not, demolish it.

Never lose focus of your goals by fearing failures from the past. Everyone experiences failure, however, the most successful people refuse to dwell on it. They are able to move forward with the plans God has set for them.

As believers, we are called to walk by faith, not by sight. That means making every decision based on what God says and not what you see with your natural eyes. Don’t lose touch with family and friends who encourage you. These relationships are vital to your success. To stay strong, you need a support system. Too many people quit on the verge of success; don’t be one of them. There is only one degree difference between hot water and steam. So, keep going, and don’t ever think about quitting.

The Bible consistently encourages perseverance. It urges believers not to grow weary in doing good promising that with faith and endurance, a harvest of blessings will come in due time. God provides strength to overcome trials, promising that you will reap if you do not give up. Those who remain steadfast under trial are blessed and will receive the “crown of life.” Those who wait on guidance from God will renew their strength, enabling them to “run and not be weary.” So, stop digging up the bones of past failures and Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
