It’s wonderful Wednesday and we have a wonderful birthday story to share:
Trevecca Towers resident Vivian Byers turned 100 this month and the property management staff celebrated her special day in royal style. Balloons filled with gold confetti pieces and glittery gold-foil decor created an air of elegance befitting the milestone birthday. Ms. Byers, who appears to have discovered the Fountain of Youth, is very active and lives independently at Trevecca.
LHP continues to make progress on the pandemic front rolling out critically important Covid-19 vaccinations to residents at our properties for older adults and people with disabilities. Frank Callaghan Towers in Oak Ridge has had its second Covid-19 vaccine clinic. The 62+ residents were the first to receive their shots that are being administered on site by the Anderson County and Tennessee State health departments. A third vaccine event is planned for May.
Need a new idea for a resident appreciation event? Westview Tower’s Jennifer Brown recently thanked her residents with a gift that was both sweet and salty. She gave out packs of peanuts with the note, “We’d be totally ‘nuts’ if we didn’t thank you for being our residents!”
The renovation of Covenant Village in Knoxville is nearing the homestretch. Last week the last round of tenant meetings was held. Residents in this group are excited and eager for the work to begin—and finish. They can’t wait to return to their newly renovated units. Their smiles speak volumes:
What’s up at your property? Send a note and photographs to TheScruff@lhp.net. We’d love to see you here.
