A small act of concern blossomed into a remarkable life-saving rescue on May 12, thanks to the vigilance of Ronald Jordan, Maintenance Supervisor, Red Oak Villa in Minden, LA.
While performing his routine duties, Jordan noticed that a resident had missed her bus for a scheduled dialysis appointment. Concerned, he decided to check on her well-being. At her apartment, he found her in severe physical distress, visibly struggling. Jordan immediately called 9-1-1.
As EMTs worked to stabilize the resident, Jordan remained by her side, offering reassurance. During these critical moments, the resident stopped breathing. Thanks to the rapid and skilled response of the EMTs, combined with Jordan’s timely intervention, they were able to successfully revive her.
