Let’s remember that serving is performing a role or function. For example, while your friend is away, you volunteer to help with caring for their pet or other tasks. Just so you know, serving comes from the Latin word for servants, but you can serve people without being subordinate to them.
From time to time, we need a reminder that serving each other is a good thing. The Apostle John emphasized that serving one another is a demonstration of love and discipleship. John’s message from biblical times highlights the importance of humility, selflessness, and love for others. Serving should be a core aspect of humility.
A key point the Apostle makes about serving others is the humility and service that we show toward one another. John wrote, “A new command I give you. Love one another, as I have loved you.”
So, it is vitally important that you love one another. Through this expression of kindness, everyone will know that you are a follower. God’s message to humanity highlights that love for one another is a defining characteristic and a demonstration of our true nature toward all of God’s people.
In serving, you will face some difficulties. There will be trials and tribulations, but we are encouraged to persevere and continue serving others, knowing that this is God’s plan for humanity. Each of us has certain gifts. We should use these gifts to serve others as good stewards of God’s plan for humanity.
Feeding those who are hungry, providing clothes to people in need, and visiting those who are sick, as well as other acts of service, are the essence of serving. It will be a blessing to you when people who are not as well off as you experience your acts of caring. Sacrificing your time and resources, even for those with whom you disagree, will be your blessing.
We should allow the spirit to guide us on how explicitly we are called to serve others. You don’t necessarily have to overextend yourself or do everything that comes your way to help others. It is important to maintain balance.
I would recommend that when you see a genuine opportunity to help people that you do so in a loving and kind spirit and with all that you have to give. Put your heart into your service to others and God will bless you in ways you never imagined. Be blessed, and Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
