Some individuals think that all hope is lost for them and so they say what is the use of trying or continuing with my endeavors. Feeling hopeless is part of the human condition, and many of history’s most notable heroes experience it. Feeling hopeless often occurs when individuals are feeling depressed or anxious. For people who think about giving up and feel that this is the only way to escape their pain and feelings of hopelessness, there is good news.

It is important to realize that help is available, and that depression, anxiety, and hopelessness can be overcome even if you cannot see a solution right now. It has been said that the loneliest moment in someone’s life is when they are watching their whole world fall apart, and all they can do is feel an emptiness or a sense of lostness. However, the reality is there are agencies that can help you through times of feeling hopeless.

It is hard to accomplish anything if you have a feeling of frustration, bitterness and if a mood of helplessness prevails in your life. American philosopher Noam Chomsky said, “all over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only hope they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume.”

There are naysayers and prophets of doom everywhere, and if you buy what they are selling, you will end up convinced there is no hope for your situation. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Apostle Paul said “let us hold fast the confession of our hope. He who promised is faithful.” Paul was speaking about who God can transform your valley of pain and hopelessness into a door of hope. It is the same promise he made to his people even after they turned their backs on him.

Don’t give up hope and become hopeless because people have turned their back on you. It happens to all of us. We have all experienced how the pandemic has brought havoc into our live over the past two years. Some individuals have spent days without being in the presence of their friends and loved ones. Others have lost someone due to death from COVID-19. Perhaps it has left you with a feeling of hopelessness.

It is impossible to stand in the presence of God and be a pessimist. If you focus on your problems, they will seem gigantic. But as we focus on God, we see our situation in perspective and are assured that all things are possible. There is hope; so Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
