One of the famous quotes by Dr Martin Luther King Jr. is “Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability but comes through continuous struggle. And so, we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can’t ride you unless your back is bent.” However, today I am writing about a different perspective of change: the concept of changeless. This may not be a word we use every day, but it carries significant weight when considering the nature of God.

How blessed are we to be able to confide in the infinite and changeless love of God. It speaks to the ever-present nature of God’s blessings towards us. The Psalmist states that “My God in his steadfast love will meet me. God will let me look in triumph on my enemies.” The Psalmist gives us insight into the changeless nature of God’s character.  In contrast, our human nature is primed to change. Our behavior can change from day to day, depending on what is going on in our lives. But God’s love never changes.

It is vital to our wellbeing that we recognize that God is real and unchanged. God reveals his changeless nature to us through creation. He speaks to us through our conscience. But beyond that, we can know God personally and have a relationship with him. The Lord said, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.”

Those who recognize the unwavering changeless character of a supreme power can appreciate the peace they have with God. When we walk with God, we have purpose. We live better because we know that he will supply all of our needs. None of us can find any of this in a pill. If we could, the question is how much would we pay for it, and would anyone have to force us to take it?

As you go about your daily activities, gaze upon the beauty that is before you. How magnificent is the nature that surrounds us ordered by the will of God. How blessed we are to gaze upon the stars in the universe. These things are the creation of God, and they are changeless. Be blessed and Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
