Don’t you wish that things were always about truthfulness and faithfulness which were the words of the Biblical revelator John. His words ringed gloriously about the foreseeable future for the promises to the people of God:  “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for former things have passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, write for these words are true and faithful.”

We have full knowledge about God’s faithfulness to the believer but what about our faithfulness as citizens of this great world to each other. The Bible teaches us that faithfulness comes from a place of trust and loyalty. As a believer, it is important to be faithful to God. Allow me to encourage you to simply believe in his words that one day he will rid you of tears, death, and sorrow for your faithfulness.

I am reminded about the life of Civil Rights activist Rosa Parks. Much has been written about Rosa Parks’ actions. In the language of the 1950s crusaders, her action did much to lift up the spirit of people. In our society today we speak about how she made us a better nation because of her true faithfulness toward equality for all people.

Like Rosa Parks, our true and faithful actions can apply to our family, our job, our community services and most importantly to God. All people regardless of race or culture are used to suffering. We often must endure our pains in a world that seems to be in turmoil. Believers should remember the words that John wrote about faith and the true God: “God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, no more mourning or crying or pain.”

For the pain and suffering that Rosa Parks experienced during her lifetime, she will be rewarded. Her reward will be a life free from pain and suffering, just as God promised to all believers who are true and faithful. Ask yourself these questions: Are you a good role model for others to follow? How are you leading others to be what God would like for them to be? Are you being deliberate about loving others?  Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
