Our professional custodial staffs are often the unsung heroes of apartment property management. They make a big difference in the lives of residents but seldom see the spotlight. Hickory Hollows Towers custodian Albert Morton is retiring this week and resident Betty McDaniel wanted to make sure that his excellent work ethic did not go unnoticed.
“Albert is the best at his job and always goes the extra mile,” said Ms. McDaniel who spoke up at a recent community meeting where staff members were introduced and Albert’s June 28 retirement date announced. She said Albert keeps the windows and floors spotless and is always courteous, helpful and kind. He will be missed, she said, and there were nods of heads in agreement around the room from other residents and staff. Many thanks to Albert for his great work and service at LHP and congratulations on your retirement.
Two of our employees have recently been awarded Fair Housing Coordinator designations after passing their Fair Housing Compliance exams administered by NAHMA (National Affordable Housing Management Association). Congratulations to Penny Ledbetter, Manager at Hickory Hollow Towers in Antioch, TN as well as Stephanie Haynes, Senior Analyst for LHP Management!
Radnor Towers had fun “traveling to Mexico” with their residents by serving a taco bar and letting everyone take their turn at the pinata! Nearly 80 residents joined in the fun and the staff cooked more than 50 pounds of hamburger meat!
Westview Towers in Knoxville had 70 residents join them for a summer kickoff luncheon. Manager Alva Kinard said the residents are always so grateful for these events, and that many included for her to “thank the folks at LHP!”
Our CEO Carey Parker had the great pleasure to walk for equality in the Knoxville Pride Parade, celebrating people and culture, this past Saturday.
With gratitude & coffee,
