Kimberly Young

The July Employee Spotlight shines on Kimberly Young, LHP Senior Relocation Manager, for her kind and compassionate advocacy for individuals and families in need. In her professional role at LHP and volunteer activities, there is a common theme: helping people to make life-changing transformations.

Kimberly serves on the Board of Directors for Project Connect Nashville (PCN), a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to alleviating poverty through a unique and multi-pronged approach. PCN addresses the full spectrum of poverty issues with a special focus on restoring important connections to family, community and church.

“I fell in love with the organization and the mission,” Kimberly says. “I really wanted to be involved in a greater capacity.”

Kimberly is board secretary and this past year served on the executive search and special event committees. She says the organization is very dear to her heart and she’s thrilled to serve. She also is involved and does work with The Church of Avenue South, a branch of Brentwood Baptist. She helps welcome new members to the church and processes membership data on a weekly basis and coordinates a new member class once a quarter.

At LHP, Kimberly manages resident relocations during property renovations, a job that often involves travel. With only 24 hours in a day, how does she manage the demands of her job and her passion for serving others in the community and church?

“I tend to be a high functioning, anxious person,” Kimberly laughs, explaining she mentally walks through how something is going to affect someone else and asks ‘what if’ questions with a goal of ensuring that everything works out well for everyone as much as is possible.

“The reason that I am able to give back to the community is because I am surrounded by wonderful community and people that care about me and help me to be successful,” she says, adding, “I want to be able to pay it forward.”

LHP is pleased to shine the spotlight on Kimberly Young.  We appreciate all that you do each day to make our communities healthier and happier places to live.
