Parting is such sweet sorrow. July 16 was bittersweet for staff at Trevecca Towers as they said farewell and best wishes for a happy retirement to Linda Collins, Leasing Agent, Trevecca Towers II. Linda was considered the “heart and soul” of TVT II so there were many tearful goodbyes her last week of work.
Andy Brinkman, Jay Cathey and Chaplain Walter Ghosten dropped by to wish her a fond farewell on Thursday and J.R. Pitmon, Maintenance Supervisor, and his team gave her a huge send off on Friday surprising her with strawberry ice cream (her favorite) and cake as well as a dozen roses. Linda was especially close to the Maintenance group, especially JR who hired her originally and introduced her to her husband. Linda ate lunch with the Maintenance crew every Friday for the 10 years that she worked there. Upon her retirement, she bequeathed her “lunch chair” to Karen Kiefer, community manager. What an honor!
Overlook Ridge Apartments treated residents to a fun outdoor cookout. Staff grilled hot dogs and had a variety of dressings available so the hungry diners could enjoy the hot dog dinner “their way.”
After a party with the residents, staff got together to celebrate an internal promotion! Tiffany “Nicci” Jones has been promoted to Maintenance Tech at Overlook Ridge. Congrats Nicci!
