LHP is proud to announce Tracy Smith, Community Manager at Park Place in Hot Springs, Arkansas, is our newest PRE Leader. This honor recognizes team members who go above and beyond to deliver a Positive Resident Experience (PRE) and make a meaningful impact on those who call an LHP property home.

What truly sets Tracy apart is her empathetic approach to every single resident she talks to, even during high-pressure situations. Whether supporting a resident through a health crisis or defusing emotionally charged encounters, she always finds a way to turn things around, says Jamie Mayes, Regional Property Manager.

“She is an incredibly patient person who demonstrates a deep understanding that rushing through tasks and conversations with her residents rarely leads to meaningful results,” says Jamie. “Her approach is always considerate; she treats everyone with kindness and respect, embodying the qualities of a PRE Leader for LHP at its core. Her thoughtful attitude not only fosters a positive environment but also encourages residents and others to thrive.”

Tracy’s career in customer service started early when she began working in retail at age 15. That, paired with being the oldest of three children raised by a working single mom, gave her endless opportunities to practice her communication skills and sparked a passion for connecting with people.

“I’ve been talking and communicating with people my whole life,” laughs Tracy. “It’s always fascinated me because you never know someone’s story, and nobody’s story is the same.”

With a decade of property management experience under her belt, Tracy joined LHP as Assistant Manager at Asbury Park in Little Rock in spring 2025. Her leadership and drive were obvious from day one—within just 30 days, she was promoted to Community Manager at Park Place.

For Tracy, her secret to creating a positive resident experience comes down to one simple, daily motivation.

“What motivates me most every day is asking: How can I help someone? What encouragement can I give?” Tracy shares. “We never know what someone is going through, and everyone needs a good listener. A simple conversation can change a person’s life.”

Congratulations to Tracy Smith for this well-deserved recognition!

Providing a positive experience for every resident is our top priority! PRE Leaders receive a $100 gift card and our thanks for being stewards of our company’s excellent customer service.
