Aleah Shrigley’s portfolio management group came together at Radnor Towers recently for the quarterly team meeting.

The meeting provided Aaron Price, Community Manager, Overlook Ridge, with the perfect opportunity to show everyone his property’s cool new “Overlook Legends Elite Squad” t-shirt, which he modeled with pride.

Aleah’s team (standing left to right): Philip McClain, Cyndi Rhodus, Aleah Shrigley,  Kristen Comeau, Tamakieta Monroe, Penny Ledbetter, Theresa Little, Derek Hardge and Aaron Price and (seated left to right): Chaplain Ghosten and Tamara Billings.

Lucky for Chaplain Ghosten he dropped by in time to join Aleah and her team for lunch. When power walker Tamakieta Monroe saw his plate, she teasingly inquired about his high calorie lunch choices and when did he want to go for a walk.  The Chaplain explained it was his “cheat day,” a day when he is allowed to indulge in extra sweets.  Hmmm. This leaves one to wonder: “Chaplain Ghosten, when is your ‘extra steps day’ to burn off those ‘cheat day’ calories?”  🙂

Mikaela Coleman, Service Coordinator at Towers I/East, checks out the health and medical services available from a new telemedicine computer.

With the newly installed virtual health kiosk, residents are able to visit one-on-one with an RN, PA, therapist or behavioral health specialist without ever having to leave the building. The health provider can see and talk with the patient, get real-time data on the patient’s weight, blood pressure, temperature and other vitals, and use a camera to look at a patient’s wound or sore throat.

Secured self-cleaning equipment using a UVC light sterilizes the virtual health kiosk between each patient. Most insurance, including Medicare, is accepted. The future for “virtual medicine” is in at Trevecca Towers.

On a very sad note, the LHP family had to say goodbye to Andrea Finley, a beloved colleague and outstanding property manager, who passed away August 30. Andrea joined LHP in 2014 and served as an assistant manager at 1100 Studios before her promotion to Community Manager at Meadowbrook Apartments in 2019.  She had a special way with children and endeared herself to the families at Meadowbrook. Andrea’s service was held at Kingdom Faith Church September 10 and she was laid to rest in Mount Olive Cemetery in Knoxville. Knowing how much Andrea meant to the children at Meadowbrook, Cecilia Whittington, LHP Service Coordinator, invited them to honor Andrea’s memory with the release of balloons, limited in number and eco-friendly, at the property on September 14.
