Residents of Springplace were in for a fun surprise on Friday when a lone pirate invaded their peaceful community! The scallywag, dressed in full pirate regalia, sauntered into the community, challenging everyone to “talk like a pirate, arrrr!” Who knew September 19 is, in fact, “International Talk Like a Pirate Day?”
Fortunately, the pirate’s reign was short-lived. A brave resident outwitted the pirate and he was forced to open his treasure chest and share the loot. Residents enjoyed taking turns picking a souvenir from the chest and celebrating the day. Ahoy!
