We are living in times when change is inevitable. Whether we expect it or not, change will occur in our lifetime. So, it is wise to prepare our minds to expect change by being open-minded. While it is sometimes difficult to be receptive to change, embracing it can lead to exciting new opportunities and personal growth worth celebrating.

Change can be initiated by our own choices, such as a job or career change, or by external forces, such as unexpected events in our personal or professional lives. We must not become complacent about change, as some changes are not always positive. Negative changes to our health are usually not celebrated; but receiving a good report from your doctor is definitely worth celebrating.

In times of change, we may become fearful or anxious because of uncertainty about the future and how things may unfold. But we can take solace in the belief that God has a plan for us and that when we place our trust in him, he will lead us on the right path.

As the great Prophet Jeremiah declared, God promises his followers, “I will visit you and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place; For I know the plans I have for you,  plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and hope.”

It is encouraging to know that God promises never to change. We can turn to him in order to find comfort and peace during times of transitioning or uncertainty. I have learned that with age comes the wisdom of understanding that God’s plans often surpass my own. I have learned to trust God in the moments when I am unsure and don’t have a plan.

So that I don’t lose heart, I remind myself that uncertain times of change are only momentary and that an eternal glory far outweighs any negative changes that might occur in my life. Our ultimate goal is to place our trust in God, who helps us see what is important in life.

Remember the words of the Prophet Isaiah who declared, “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.” When we enter our season of change, always stand strong. Be blessed and Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
