LHP CEO of Development Alvin Nance has been honored with a prestigious award for his decades-long commitment to social justice and his impactful work in creating opportunity and equity in our community and affordable housing.
On October 23, Alvin was named the recipient of the Whitney M. Young Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award from the Knoxville Area Urban League (KAUL.) The award was presented at KAUL’s annual Equal Opportunity Awards gala.
This honor is the Urban League’s highest recognition and is not given annually; it is reserved for those rare individuals who have dedicated not only their careers but their lives to the cause of justice, diversity and equality. The award is named after Whitney M. Young Jr., a Civil Rights leader who worked tirelessly to build bridges of understanding among the races—a legacy Alvin truly embodies.
Congratulations to Alvin!
