Elected officials along with representatives from the Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) and affordable housing developer LHP Capital celebrate with resident Rita Young at a ribbon cutting ceremony Oct. 17. marking the official completion of the $8.3 million renovation of Madison Towers in Richmond, Ky.
Ribbon cutters at the event are (l to r): Tina Cain, Fahe Senior Project Specialist, Tatum Dale, Congressman Andy Barr’s Deputy District Director, Tracy Thurston, KHC Managing Director of Multifamily Programs, David Arning, LHP Development Senior Vice President, Rita Young, Madison Towers resident, Richmond Mayor Jim Barnes and Madison County Judge Executive Reagan Taylor.
Madison Towers is a 102-unit affordable rental housing community for seniors 62 and older and people with disabilities. The renovation which began in late 2015 was the first for the 35-year-old building.
