God’s greatest gift was given to us at Christmas, and as Chaplain, it is my wish that his gifts of love, peace, and happiness will be yours this season. As the year draws to a close, we have the opportunity to support each other in a special way–by Christmas cards expressing wishes for peace and happiness. This is an inexpensive way to show gratitude to your friends who have supported you through the year and pandemic.

There are so many opportunities to show our support to others during the holidays. Gifts of thoughtfulness and caring are kept forever in a person’s memory. Sometimes it is difficult finding words to thank others for the good deeds they have done over the past year. Expressing your heartfelt love through the words of a Christmas card can be the most uplifting communication that you can give to someone. Heartfelt words will help to show your thoughtfulness and that you truly care about another person’s wellbeing.

People around the world celebrate Christmas and the gift that God has given us. They are busy with their preparations for Christmas as it is a time for family reunions, family bonding, renewing friendships, and remembering why we celebrate Christmas. The Bible reminds us that we celebrate God’s grace and love for humanity with these words… “And the angel said to her, do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son…He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.”

It is for this reason that Christmas is meant to bring a message of peace and hope to everyone. So, don’t let God’s gift be overshadowed by the stress of preparing for Christmas. Parties have become a big part of Christmas celebrations and are certainly fun, but they should not overshadow the best part of Christmas.

Christmas is a time to give to others and to celebrate the birth of God’s son. It is a time to spend with family, a time to reflect on what is truly important in life, and a time to show gratitude and compassion to all. And most of all, it is a time to be happy and to make others happy. So Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!
