Harriman Gardens tree
“O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, How lovely are thy branches…” goes the favorite holiday song, and this year The Scruff wants to know, “how lovely is thy Christmas tree?” Every LHP community is invited to participate in a Christmas tree decorating contest.
The rules for the contest are simple. Every community is eligible to submit one entry per property as listed on the LHP Management Property list. The tree can be real or artificial, large or small, simple or glitzy. The decorators can include employees as well as residents and you can use any type of decorative ornaments, lights, tinsel, etc. Take photos of your tree and select THE VERY BEST photo of the tree (only one photo/tree per property is eligible) and:
- E-mail photo to thescruff@lhp.net any time between now through midnight Mon., Dec. 19.
- If possible, save the photo with your property name in the title before sending.
- Feel free to send a second photo of the tree pictured with the decorating team and a caption identifying each person. (If your tree is the winner, team members will be recognized in all promotion and publicity 😊)
Judging criteria will include creativity and overall aesthetic appearance. One tree will be selected “Best of Show” and the winning decorating team will receive a complimentary lunch in addition to bragging rights. Additional honors may be awarded to other entries at the judges’ discretion. The Best of Show Tree will be announced and photos of all the trees will be featured on The Scruff Dec. 22.
